Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Haribi

After the bombing, the first suspect identified by the media was one Mr. Rahman, who lived in an apartment in Revere, MA.

Later, it came out in the media that his name was, apparently, Abdul Rahman Ali al-Haribi.

I'm going to try to put together information on the story here.

It will be a mess.

Abdulrahman Ali Alharbi, 22, remained hospitalized in Boston as investigators searched every inch of his Revere, Mass., apartment and grilled his roommate. But it turns out the student was apparently in the wrong place at the wrong time when two bombs exploded Monday afternoon near the finish line of the event that draws runners from around the globe.
Alharbi’s Facebook page indicated that he was in the United States on a scholarship to study at the New England School of English. He reportedly held a
student visa.“He is sweet and kind and a good person,” said his roomie, Mohammud Hassan Bada, 20. “I didn’t see something on him like (a bomb).”
Alharbi met his future roommate in Boston, and the two moved into their fifth-floor apartment in the Massachusetts suburb late last year.
Bada said he was questioned for five hours Monday about his roomie, and investigators were seen lugging assorted bags filled with items from their home. Alharbi was last seen by his roommate prior to the terrorist attack.

Alharbi’s room in the apartment was sparsely decorated, with English vocabulary cards taped on the walls, Alkayid said. There were no posters, and no pictures of family or friends.
From Bloomberg:

The apartment is shared by three Saudi nationals studying English, according to one man living there.
Mohammed Badawood, 20, said police arrived at the apartment at 364 Ocean Ave. about 7:30 p.m. They told him a roommate was injured in the explosion.
Badawood said he hadn’t seen his roommate in two days and doubted he had anything to do with the explosions.
“He is a nice guy,” he said. “Quiet and clean.”
Police searched the unit with dogs and went through the trash, Badawood said. Badawood said he left at midnight to stay with a friend and police were still there.
From Infidel Bloggers Alliance:
radaris has a 52 year old “Sarah Alharbi” at the 364 Ocean Avenue address in Revere that was searched.
addresses.com M Rahman (would the M. stand for Mohammed?)364 Ocean Ave #210, Revere, MA 02151
via GatewayPundit/ Free Republic: Waters Edge Apartments reviews on this apartment ratings site says its a Section 8 hellhole: broken elevators, Hoes turning tricks, junkies shooting up, rats, filth, no security, robberies, etc.
The place is known for not doing credit checks or background verifications on prospective tenants.
Here’s a list of people who live at 364 Ocean Avenue.

THE POINT OF THIS IS, THERE YOU HAVE A MAINSTREAM NEWS STORY, FROM BLOOMBERG, SHOWING THAT MOHAMMED BADAWOOD ADMITTED BEING AL-HARIBI'S ROOMATE.

THIS ARTICLE ALSO IDENTIFIES THE ADDRESS WHERE AL-HARIBI AND BADAWOOD LIVE AS

364 OCEAN AVE. IN REVERE, MASSACHUSETTES.

DOES ANYONE LIVE IN THE BOSTON AREA?

CAN YOU CONFIRM THAT THIS IS A BAD NEIGBORHOOD AS IS REPORTED ABOVE.

ACTUALLY, THE APARTMENTS LOOK, FROM THE OUTSIDE, LIKE THEY COULD BE REASONABLY NICE.

MAYBE THE INFORMATION WE GOT IN THE FIRST PLACE (about the apartment complex being a rat-infested hellhole) WAS WRONG.

UPDATE --- HERE'S MORE INFORMATION ON THE APARTMENTS:

Here are some reviews of the Rivers Edge Apartments. Very telling.

REVERE RIDES AGAIN (an old friend of ours here at this blog) lives in the Boston area and sends along this information about the apartments:

They are about 10 miles south of where I live so I drove by them the other day. Go on google maps and search for 362 Ocean Avenue Revere and you can see the buildings on the street view feature.
They look impressive from the outside and are right on the beach, but there are a lot of Middle Eastern people living there and you see a lot of women in hijab on the streets.
That end of the beach is not a great neighborhood and is right next to the subway line. (When I was a kid that section was all amusement parks and I spent a lot of time there in the summer.) The more expensive apartment buildings are further north up the beach.
I'd say the reason the Alharbi kid was there was all the other Saudis.
When he got caught at the bombing scene on Monday and was checked out his background was disclosed so they are sneaking him out of here next Tuesday and stonewalling as we saw with Napolitano yesterday.

Shows you the news media knows jackcrap about Muslim culture. Pictures and posters (depicting living things) are "Haram" in Islam.

Nico,
If you were a sleeper cell you would not have photos of your family back home either. Right?

Telling detail indeed.

Nicoenarg said...

Pasto,

Sleeper cell or not I wouldn't have pictures of my family up on walls or on my desk if I was an observant Muslim. Wouldn't want others to "see" my family, especially women. In some circles of Islam its considered as bad as eating pork or drinking alcohol...same's not true for every Muslim though.

Al Harbi himself had a lot of his own pictures on Facebook which would suggest that he wasn't particularly against having pictures. So the theory that the room was sparsely decorated could mean that it was deliberately kept that way.

All I'm saying is that no pictures of family or posters doesn't mean much. In fact it means he is a devout Muslim.

Got it. Thanks.

Once again, you are telling me something about Muslim culture that I simply was not aware of.

No problem.

By the way, thanks for putting all this info in one place. I'm still with you about this guy's involvement.

I do think we'll never find out about his real role though.

IMO:

it's like a parisian banlieue.

and taken over by islamists.

an outpost. for further colonization.

they want to do here what they've done in neighborhood after neighborhood in europe: take it over and use sharia.

this attack may just be the beginning of an attack a week here.

the usa could become like iraq or lebanon.

these bombs are evidently not hard to make.

stay tuned...
